Help change your world and theirs! It's a week of service and refreshment for ladies. You've seen Jamaica's beautiful beaches and tourist destinations featured in television commercials. But behind the scenes of the city are communities struggling like never before. 69.2% of people living in Jamaica make their living from service industries like hotels. In the world's new economy, fewer people are vacationing, and so unemployment is rising. With the rise of unemployment come the side effects.
We need you. Daily you'll you will have two physical work projects. . One school near Montego Bay is our HOLD the Children Pre-School. There you'll help finish construction of the building and lead a children's Bible school. The other school of also a HOLD the Children School in Eden, Jamaica where you'll help in lite construction. Another daily option is volunteering at the city facility for abandoned and abused children between the ages of 1 day and 7 years old.
Two evenings we will host a women's conference. A time to invite Jamaica ladies in a small community to come for an evening of encouraging teaching, and worship. Other nights we will join together for worship and sharing, encouraging each other and talk about how we saw God work that day.
You'll stay at a family-owned hotel overlooking beautiful Montego Bay. The hotel is comfortable, air conditioned, excellent food and deep blue swimming pool. You'll enjoy a day to experience the culture of Jamaica's craft market and then swim in the Caribbean at a relaxing private beach.
This is a week to focus on women and their needs. A time to challenge women to explore how they might be a greater part of being the hands and feet of Christ in Jamaica.
