PORT DE PAIX, HAITI

PORT DE PAIX, HAITI

A lack of pencils—that was the reason Mission Discovery initially created HOLD the Children. And now 19 years later, HOLD goes far beyond providing school supplies and paying teachers’ salaries in poverty-stricken schools on the northern coast of Haiti. Structured as a child sponsorship program, HOLD targets the overall needs of schools as well as maintains an orphanage near Port-de-Paix started by Mission Discovery in 2010.

Immerse yourself in this life-giving culture at the schools and orphanage as you come face-to-face with children whose future now looks more hopeful. Open to all, but especially relevant to HOLD sponsors, this is a wonderful opportunity to give of yourself by engaging the students and staff.

As a HOLD child sponsor or a supporter of the HOLD the children Home, this trip offers you an opportunity to see where and how your monthly contributions are used.

You may visit some New Haitian Mission Baptist Schools supported by HOLD and you will visit the HOLD the children orphanage spending time with the 45 children living there.

The 45 children living at the home will capture your heart and leave you changed forever. You may even be able to meet the child you sponsor.  It is hard to assure that your sponsor child is in school during our visit, but we will do our best to arrange that.
