TECATE, MEXICO MISSION TRIPS

TECATE, MEXICO MISSION TRIPS

Nestled between towering boulders and miles of scrub brush, the mountainous town of Tecate is often overlooked for help because of its remote location.

Isolated from cartel violence, it is home to thousands who come hoping to find work near or across the U.S. border, but the low wages in the tourist or manufacturing sectors keep them near abject poverty.  Partnered with the people of Tecate and local churches, your Mission Discovery team will continue a 20+ year commitment to families through home construction and Children’s Bible School.

The last day of your mission trip is set aside for souvenir shopping and relaxing at the beach!  We’ll visit a local craft market and spend time at the Pacific Ocean.

Daily Work Assignments:

  • Construction: Your team will build a home for a family in need. The 12 by 16 foot home on a concrete slab is pre-cut and color-coded making this the perfect work project for teens or adults with little construction experience.
  • Children’s Bible School: Your team will help lead a children’s Bible school that could attract over 100 children!

Yes. Our mission trip teams have tons of individual volunteers. We do, however, need to have at least 25 volunteers sign up for a trip to make it happen. If you sign up for a trip and we do not get enough volunteers, you will have the option to join another team or join a trip in the future. We will also issue a refund if you are not interested serving on another trip.
