Organizing teams of people to serve others around the world. Learn More
Over a decade ago, Honduras suffered its greatest disaster when rains from Hurricane Mitch caused landslides and floods that killed thousands and destroyed virtually every bridge in the country. An estimated 2 million people, approximately 40% of the entire population of Tegucigalpa, were left homeless. After a decade, relief efforts have slowed, but there is still tremendous need for food, medical supplies, construction materials, clothing, and restored hope. Mission Discovery short term mission trip teams continue to partner with local pastors to find families who are still in need of a home. Your group will continue the construction of dwellings to house these families and lead daily Children’s Bible school. You’ll work hard laying block and mixing concrete while sharing the love and Good News of Jesus through games and bible stories. Plus, you will spend a fun day experiencing the local culture while shopping at the marketplace.
