Please begin by reading Acts 3:1-10, 4:8-20

Just think that for .63 cents you can send a letter across the United States. In this age of overnight delivery, email and instant messaging, communication is something that most of us take for granted. We just witnessed a war thousands of miles away, and we were able to watch it from our living room.

Unlike the media blitz that we experience these days, I think God still likes to communicate the “old fashion way.” He chooses to use people, whether they are perfect or not. Does it seem to you like sometimes God uses the most unlikely candidates to accomplish his work? Peter and John had that same feeling. They were just doing what they usually did. They were going to the temple for their afternoon prayers. But God had a different routine for them. Their brief encounter with a crippled man ROCKED the community.

How these men rocked their community is answered in 4:13. The Sanhedrin (council of church leaders) took note that these mend had been with Jesus! Spending time with Jesus and being transformed by His Holy Spirit will yield results that others will be able to see.

Will you allow yourself to be the messenger of good news this week? Maybe you have the kind word someone may need to hear today. Maybe your act of service will be a step in someone choosing Christ as their savior. You may not be perfect but God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
