Travel off the paved roads to where tourist don’t go to the community of Eden, Jamaica. There your high school or college mission trip team will join in the work of the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf. Tucked against the hills and tropical forest 40 children make their home and learn in an environment of Christ-centered care.
Mission Discovery teams are a vital part of the growth of the facility. This year we are working to complete construction of the pre-school classrooms and a vocational building. Everything is focused on preparing the graduate to be equipped to enter the working world of Jamaica.
Not only will you serve at the school, you’ll also spend some great time at Blossom Garden Children’s Home. A home for abandoned and abused children. There you’ll join the staff in caring for and playing with up to 70 children between the ages of 1 day and 7 years old.
