Attention Youth Pastors! Before you leave for your Christmas vacation (and we know, you’ve earned a break) we’d like to encourage you to make a plan to get a head start on next year’s mission trips. Planning now will give your group the pick of Mission Discovery’s 2014 trips, and allow participants time to start budgeting, saving and even asking for funding as Christmas gifts.

Mission Discovery has exciting domestic and international mission trips planned for every month of the new year. Our team can help match your youth group with the ideal mission trip. We do this by providing a range of volunteer opportunities and by matching skills and budgets to appropriate locations and needs. We have the resources and experience to make your group’s next mission trip experience meaningful for participants and easier for you.

Our trips are organized around 5-10 day outreaches. Each team gets involved in a vital construction project along with an outreach led by team members that communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ. Hundreds have decided to follow Christ each year through Mission Discovery mission trips.

Since Mission Discovery’s beginning, over 30,000 students and adults have built schools, homes and churches and have shared the gospel with hundreds of people in the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Africa, and the United States.

Here are two of our upcoming trips for you to consider:

Westmoreland, TN – this small, rural community of 4,000 people is located 45 minutes north of Nashville, TN. Westmoreland is home to people with real needs. Some of the poorer resident’s homes are literally falling down. Your group will meet both physical and spiritual needs of families in this area. There will be home repair projects and the opportunity to share the Gospel and demonstrate His love through service and kindness.

Montego Bay, Jamaica – Outside the bustling city of Montego Bay, Victory Christian Fellowship Church serves a community in need. The church hosts a pre-school with more than 50 children in attendance, providing education and care so mothers in this poor neighborhood are able to work. Mission Discovery short term mission trip teams are vital to the important work being done in this community. Your group will help with construction and repairs on homes and schools. You will also have the opportunity to lead a Children’s Bible school and work at Blossom Garden Children’s Home, Montego Bay’s city orphanage that houses more than 70 children.

Feel free to contact one of our staff members for more information. We’d love to discuss how Mission Discovery can help you manage and plan your youth group’s next mission trip.
