Mission Discovery Guatemala mission trips actually had their beginning in 1976. That’s a long time ago! It was the distination of a young couple named Maury and Ann Buchanan. They were there following a massive earthquake that killed thousands to partner with Youth For Christ Project Serve. The work was in the town of Chimaltenango. Maury, the founder of Mission Discovery, never forgot the experience of living in Guatemala that summer.

Today Guatemala Spring Break and Summer mission trips mobilize hundreds near the town of Antigua, Guatemala. There surrounded by the beauty of the volcanoes Agua and Fuego, in the next few weeks teams will partner with schools and churches who serve the needy, distribute food and some may spend a few hours in language school before heading out for a day of serving.

Michael Kneff heads the trips there for Mission Discovery.
