On June 3, 2018, Volc\u00e1n de Fuego, an active volcano about 25 miles outside of Guatemala City, erupted, killing over a hundred people and engulfing surrounding towns in thick ash. Here are four practical ways you can help the people of Guatemala in their time of need.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Physical donations help ensure that Guatemalan people who were displaced due to the eruption are clothed and fed during the chaos of recovery. Check with your local news stations to locate a drop-off station near you.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n A monetary donation ensures that first responders and relief organizations on the ground have the means to obtain whatever supplies they need to assist them in their recovery and rebuilding efforts.
