Just think that for .63 cents you can send a letter across the United\u00a0States. In this age of overnight delivery, email and instant messaging,\u00a0communication is something that most of us take for granted. We just\u00a0witnessed a war thousands of miles away, and we were able to watch it\u00a0from our living room.<\/p>\n
Unlike the media blitz that we experience these days, I think God still likes to\u00a0communicate the \u201cold fashion way.\u201d He chooses to use people, whether they are\u00a0perfect or not. Does it seem to you like sometimes God uses the most unlikely\u00a0candidates to accomplish his work? Peter and John had that same feeling. They\u00a0were just doing what they usually did. They were going to the temple for their\u00a0afternoon prayers. But God had a different routine for them. Their brief encounter\u00a0with a crippled man ROCKED the community.<\/p>\n
How these men rocked their community is answered in 4:13. The Sanhedrin\u00a0(council of church leaders) took note that these mend had been with Jesus!\u00a0Spending time with Jesus and being transformed by His Holy Spirit will yield\u00a0results that others will be able to see.<\/p>\n
Will you allow yourself to be the messenger of good news this week? Maybe you\u00a0have the kind word someone may need to hear today. Maybe your act of service\u00a0will be a step in someone choosing Christ as their savior. You may not be perfect\u00a0but God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.<\/p>\n
