Read Luke 5:1-3

Have you ever thought about how Jesus was heard when He spoke to the multitudes? These were very large crowds that gathered around Him, and they wanted to hear His words. Now remember, electricity hadn’t been discovered yet, so microphones and sound systems weren’t available! Ever wonder how He was heard all the way in the back now?

Do you ever wonder if you’re being heard?

What difference can one person make in a world crowded with so many things pushing out the word of God and His purposes for our lives?

Love makes a way. 1 Corinthians 13:8 puts it this way: “Love never fails.” In 1 John 4:16, we learn that “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him.” This kind of love is divine and beyond our natural abilities. When we allow the love of Jesus to flow through us, whether to one person or a multitude, we are heard. Spoken words may not even be necessary. Sometimes actions speak louder.

In a world that desperately needs Jesus, how are you going to demonstrate His love today?

Let’s pray this today: Dear heavenly Father, give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to love like You do. Let my words be Yours and let those You send me to today, see and hear Jesus in me. In His Name, I pray. Amen.
