Read Galatians 6:7-10

If you put pumpkin seeds in the ground, what will sprout a few weeks later?

Corn – right? Wrong, pumpkins! Common sense tells us that whatever we sow is what will grow. This is the ‘Law of the Harvest.’ It is a principle that we use every day whether we know it or not. If we: don’t eat – get hungry, don’t sleep – become grouchy, exercise – get stronger, study – pass the test, break the law – get a fine, love Jesus – find grace and peace.

Every day we make choices or ‘plant seeds’ that will have consequences. If we want good consequences then we need to make wise choices based on good ideas. The Bible is loaded with great ideas! Read Galatians 6:7-10 to see what the Apostle Paul says about the principle of ‘sowing and reaping.’

  1. What are some things Paul mentions about the ‘Law of the Harvest’ in this passage?
  2. What ‘good seeds’ can you begin to sow that will make a difference in your own life and the lives of others (be specific)? Make a list of ‘Idea Seeds.’ Beside the ‘Idea Seed’ write the expected ‘Result / Consequence.’ Share ideas with your team members. For example:

“Idea Seed”

  1. Spend 30 minutes each day reading the Bible and praying.
  2. Eat good food & exercise.

Result / Consequence

Grow closer to Jesus – love God more.

Be healthier for God! Feel better.
