“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands” (Ps. 19:1).  The speed of light travels 5.87 trillion miles a year.  Scientist say, “The region visible from Earth (the observable universe) is a sphere with a radius of about 46 billion light years.  There are probably more than 100 billion galaxies in the observable universe.  Our Milky Way Galaxy is roughly 100,000 light years in diameter, and our nearest sister galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy, is located roughly 2.5 billion light years away.  Typical galaxies range from dwarfs with a few as ten million stars up to giants with one trillion stars.  A 2010 study by astronomers estimated that the observable universe contains 300 sextillion (3×1023) stars.”  Is your head spinning yet?!  Earth is tiny in comparison.  Its circumference is only 24, 902 miles and the distance to the Sun a mere 93 million miles.  The size of the universe is beyond imagination!

Our God created and holds together the universe by His Word.  King Solomon said, “But will God indeed dwell on the earth?  Behold, the heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You” (1 Kgs 8:27).  God is bigger than the universe He mad, yet He can live in the heart of a believer.
