“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 1:6

“How we spend our days is; of course, how we spend our lives.” “There is no shortage of good days. It is good lives that are hard to come by.” Annie Dillard – The Writing Life

The story of your week with Mission Discovery may be over, but a new chapter is right around the corner. What will this next part of your journey look like as you head home? Hopefully, something you have read or experienced this week will be the spark that starts an entirely new narrative in your life.

You might have made different decisions this week than you do at home. Maybe you used your phone less. Maybe you prayed more. Maybe you thought more about others and less about yourself. But the good news is that the changes don’t have to stop here. Whatever change you experienced this week can become a part of your life from now on. It all starts with one day.

The quote at the top of the page is both beautiful and inspiring. You don’t have to have your whole life mapped out. Just start with one good day. And as you go, remember that you aren’t doing this alone. The verse today means that God will keep doing the good work he started in us until it is done. It does not mean God will try a few more times and then give up. He will keep going until his work is finished. Whatever good you have experienced this week, if anything new has been ignited within you, realize that the source is Jesus. Rest in the peace that comes from knowing your life is part of His story, and that is a story worth telling.

Answer this: How has God worked in your life this week?
